Chaifetz Arena Joins National Recycling League
CHAIFETZ ARENA BECOMES FIRST COLLEGIATE ARENA TO
INSTALL REVERSE VENDING MACHINES FOR BEVERAGE CONTAINER RECYLING
St. Louis, Missouri – Chaifetz Arena, in partnership with Delaware North, is proud to join Anheuser-Busch’s National Recycling League – a multi-sports league coalition aiming to reduce waste on gamedays – by installing two Cycle Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs). The installation makes Chaifetz Arena the first collegiate basketball arena to utilize the machines.
The machines are designed to engage fans and incentivize recycling efforts, with the goal of inspiring guests to recycle and reuse at Chaifetz Arena.
Guests at Chaifetz Arena will now be able to dispose of their empty beverage containers by inserting them into the RVM and scanning the QR code. The machine will then populate a unique transaction ID, which will prompt the user to fill out a questionnaire to see if they won. Guests will find out instantly whether they have won, along with instructions on how to redeem their prize.

Chaifetz Arena, located in St. Louis, Missouri, is a 10,600 seat multi-purpose venue that opened its doors in April 2008. It is home to Saint Louis University men’s and women’s basketball and women’s. The arena features a single concourse along with a suite level boasting 14 suites and two-party suites. There is also a large club for dinners and parties. Chaifetz Arena, which is owned by Saint Louis University, is privately managed by Oak View Group 360. Chaifetz Arena hosts a variety of events each year including concerts, family shows, trade shows, high school + university commencements as well as men’s and women’s basketball games.
